"I enjoyed your style and methods hugely."

"If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."

It‘s what delegates do after the course that counts

A good programme is only a good programme if it brings about the results our clients want. We hold ourselves accountable to the objectives at course reaction and learning level also the subsequent impact on delegates' performance. We know that our client's investment only begins to pay off when the delegates return to the workplace. We will be talking to you before, during and after each programme as described in our Quality Assurance guidelines.

Conversations

Whether the training is about project management, conducting research of appraising staff - conversations are crucial. All work based activity take place in the context of interpersonal relationships which are supported through communication. At Skills & Projects we demonstrate our commitment to conversations by listening to what our clients want, providing plenty of opportunities for course delegates to share ideas and helping them think how they will manage their changed performance in the workplace and the impact on their colleagues.

The personal in the professional

Personal development plays a significant role in the development of professional skills - an individual's identity, self-esteem, confidence and motivation play a significant role in how they learn and how they perform. Models such as Emotional Intelligence and Neuro-Linguistic Programming may play a part in training courses, whilst further enhanced value will come from encouraging delegates to "be themselves" and understand how they can contribute and benefit from courses.

Training has got it's limits

Perhaps a dangerous thing for a training provider to say! However we know that training is not the answer to some problems. In such circumstances we can advise clients on other development routes such as mentoring, coaching etc as well as organisational routes such as management style, appraisal and supervision policy and structures.
