Corporate Services Management Programme

CSMP is a tailored programme designed in partnership with the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education to equip managers to better implement the University‘s corporate strategy. It includes a series of core modules, action research groups, 360 diagnostics, coaching and action learning sets. Around 80 managers (including Directors and their Deputies) will have undertaken the programme by mid-2009. CSMP is probably the most comprehensive and ambitious management development programme within any UK higher education institution.

Our main role on the programme is to co-ordinate and facilitate the action learning sets, and contribute to the 24-hour induction and one-day evaluation events for each cohort of managers. In addition to this we were involved in facilitating the 2008 three-day Corporate Services residential programme and a one-day event for academic staff. Since 2006 we have also been responsible for the co-ordination and facilitation of learning sets for academic staff undertaking the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.

Skills & Projects Director Tim Taylor, who leads our facilitation and action learning services, is a reviewer for ‘Action Learning: Research & Practice‘, edited by Mike Pedler and produced in association with Henley Management College.
