"If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."
Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Skills & Projects has worked at the strategic level with national and local organisations helping them develop an approach to involvement and consultation.

We have also worked extensively with service users to support their involvement and participation; working for example with the tenants of Ellesmere Port & Neston Borough Council, Sheffield City Council, Canning Town and Customs House and the staff of Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council.

Resident and Service User Involvement

We are strongly committed to the principles of service user involvement, having seen the benefits that this brings both to service users themselves and the organisations which make the effort to engage with them. The diagram below is a good example, showing the benefits of service user involvement in the context of social housing.

We work to develop staff and residents so that housing associations can benefit from increased resident participation, better service levels and the effective prioritisation of resources.
