Privacy and the Data Protection Act

We will not collect any information about individuals, except where it is specifically and knowingly provided by them (for example, by filling out and submitting a web form, or posting a written application form). Examples of such information are: name, organisation name, sector of business, address, telephone number, email address.

This information is used strictly in accordance with the confidentiality rules contained within the Skills & Projects Terms & Conditions that forms a binding contract governing the use of that service by all parties. Accordingly we will not sell, rent or loan any identifiable information regarding our customers to any third party without your consent. Skills & Projects treat all the data held with the utmost care and security. Any details you give will remain completely confidential.

It is possible to view many areas on Skills & Projects web sites, including areas containing a great deal of useful information, anonymously, i.e. without providing any personal details. When you do so, we don't collect personal information when you browse - not even your email address. Your browser, however, does automatically tell us the type of computer and operating system you are using.

Your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should, where necessary, be kept up to date and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people. You have the right to see what is held about you and correct any inaccuracies.

Skills & Projects may hold details about you, particularly if you have a subscription or user account, or if you are one of our clients. This information is not available on line.
