"I enjoyed your style and methods hugely."

Fran Woodard, Director Modernisation Initiative

"I found the process simple and well managed. Colleagues at Skills & Projects are helpful and very competent which made for conducive working. Skills & Projects were clear about timetables and delivery and were well organised. Work was delivered on time and on budget. They ran the benchmarking meetings efficiently and effectively. The training given has been clear and was given a good rating by staff at Ducane."

Mike Wilkins, CEO Ducane HA and chair of g320

Skills & Projects

We are a London and Brighton-based consultancy that specialises in working with social organisations, notably those involved in housing, education and community regeneration.

Every client is different, and every project we undertake is different, but we always aim to make a significant and positive difference for our clients, whether it is through a piece of research, staff development, designing a database or running a workshop.

We have worked with national bodies and regulators, local authorities, primary care trusts, small charities and housing associations.

Work in progress (December 2009/January 2010)

Right now we are running a joint project with all our benchmarking clubs to agree a common set of PIs and definitions for use nationally for smaller housing associations. Our members are concerned that a lack of regulation under the TSA might lead to smalls missing out on opportunities in the future, and are keen to use benchmarking to enhance their reputations in the sector.

We are currently involved with two research projects for the Tenant Services Authority. One is a joint project with HouseMark on Resident Involvement. We are also pleased that Skills & Projects director Tim Taylor is part of the Campbell-Tickell team working on Organisational Improvement with the TSA.

We are running a resident satisfaction survey for Oxbode Housing Association and we will soon be reporting to the board of and Bexley Churches Housing Association about the findings from the survey we ran for them.

We have developed a Mystery Shopping application for Tower Hamlets PCT where we are also researching Sexual Health service provision and GP and Practice Nurse training needs. We will be reporting back to the PCT and service providers in December.
